Resilience is Amazing or...?
Resilience is often painted as a solitary pursuit. A quality that you either have or you don’t. But the challenges we face today—whether in healthcare, politics, or society at large—aren’t isolated struggles. They are crises that we, as a community, need to confront together.
Healthcare and Spiritual care in the dawn of AI
The intersection of AI, health, and spirituality is not just a question of technology, but of humanity itself. It is a challenge to our ethical and moral frameworks, pushing us to reconsider what it means to care for the whole person.
AI and Reasonable Faith
I am a person of faith and I hope that the object of my faith and the process of my faith are reasonable. I am also a student of history. I am enamored by the collective wisdom curated through ancient cultures and civilizations that still guide us today.
Spiritual Care with AI
We imagine that, in the distant future, AI can function as a non-human confidant. Patients, family and friends (or even staff) might, for example, feel comfortable asking AI to help with tasks such as understanding their situation. And, they could do so without feeling that they were burdening hospital staff. They might even feel more comfortable being vulnerable with a machine when discussing difficult topics where they would be embarrassed to ask a human.
